If the Sugarloaf Rock day-use car park is full, the decision is already made: do not circle, do not block access, and do not send the group onto wet granite from an illegal pull-off. Reverse the northern order or skip the stack.
This is unofficial planning from Explore Parks WA / published logistics — not a field diary. Confirm live access and signs on the day.
The decision in one line
Full lot → leave the node → Cape Naturaliste formed lookouts or a town reset. Do not invent parking. Do not punish the group with a southern lighthouse drive as revenge.
What fails

Sugarloaf Rock

Roadside parking that blocks emergency or resident access. Wet-edge photos after a stressed circle. Stacking Canal Rocks as a third crowded edge.
Official pages and on-site signs own live access. An old Instagram pin is not a parking authority.
FAQ
Tap a question to expand the answer.
Should I wait in the car for a space?
Short wait only if you are not blocking access. A long circle on a peak Saturday usually wastes the morning. Execute Plan B.
Is Canal Rocks the automatic Plan B?
Only if that lot is also realistic. Often Cape Naturaliste lighthouse precinct (lookouts / short walks) is the cleaner save — Canal Rocks can be equally packed.
